Assist Step Lamp Replacement (B3L)

Removal Procedure

  1. Deploy the assist steps.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.

  1. Retainer (2) » Disengage [2x]
  2. Assist Step Wire (1) » Reposition away
  3. Assist Step Finish Cap Bolt (3) » Remove

  1. Disengage the retaining tabs (2), from the slots (1) in the assist step.
  2. Assist Step Front Finish Cap (3) » Remove

  1. Assist Step Finish Cap Bolt (1) » Remove

  1. Disengage the retaining tabs (2), from the slots (1) in the assist step.
  2. Assist Step Rear Finish Cap (3) » Remove

  1. Assist Step Shield Bolt (1) » Remove [7x]
  2. Assist Step Insert (2) » Remove

  1. Electrical Connector (1) @ Assist Step Lamp (2) » Disconnect

  1. Remove the assist step lamp from the double sided tape.

  2. Assist Step Lamp (1) » Remove Installation Procedure

  3. Assist Step Lamp (1) » Install

  4. Electrical Connector (1) @ Assist Step Lamp (2) » Connect

  5. Assist Step Insert (2) » Install

  1. Assist Step Shield Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [7x] — Fastener Specifications

  2. Engage the retaining tabs (2), to the slots (1) in the assist step.

  3. Assist Step Front Finish Cap (3) » Install

  4. Assist Step Finish Cap Bolt (3) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

  5. Retainer (2) » Engage [2x]

  6. Engage the retaining tabs (2), to the slots (1) in the assist step.

  7. Assist Step Rear Finish Cap (3) » Install

  8. Assist Step Finish Cap Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

  9. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.

  10. Perform the assist step learn procedure. Assist Step Learn
