Conditions for Running the DTC P2227 Condition 1 DTC P0100-P0103, P0107, P0108, P0116-P0119, P0128, P0201-P0208, P020A- P020F, P0216, P021A, P021B, P0261, P0262, P0264, P0265, P0267, P0268, P0270, P0271, P0273, P0274, P0276, P0277, P0279, P0280, P0282, P0283, P02E8, P02E9, P02EE, P02EF, P02F0- P02F5, P0335, P0336, P062B, P062D, P111E, P122D, P1248, P1249, P124A- P124F, P126A, P2147, P2148, P2150, P2151, P2153, P2154, P2156, P2157, P2228- P2230, P227E, U0654 = Not set Engine = Running — For greater than 30 s Engine Coolant Temperature = Warmer than 70°C (158°F) Engine Speed = Less than 950 RPM Ignition Voltage = Greater than 11 V Intake Air Flow Valve Position = Greater than 90% Condition 2, 3 DTC P0107, P0108, P2228, P2229, P227C, P227D, P2610, U060F = Not set Engine = Off — For greater than 5 s Ignition = On Frequency the DTC runs = Continuously — After the running conditions are met P2228, P2229, P2230 Ignition = On or Engine = Running Frequency the DTC runs = Continuously — After the running conditions are met Conditions for Setting the DTC P2227 Condition 1 The following parameters are not within 46 kPa (6.7 PSI) of each other: Barometric Pressure Sensor Barometric Pressure Sensor 2 Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Condition 2 Barometric Pressure Sensor = Not between 50 and 115 kPa (7 and 17 PSI) Condition 3 The following parameters are not within 10 kPa (1.5 PSI) of each other: Barometric Pressure Sensor Barometric Pressure Sensor 2 Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor The above condition(s) must occur for greater than 1 s. - Verify the scan tool parameter: Barometric Pressure Sensor 2 = The value should be within the range listed in the table: Altitude Versus Barometric Pressure Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor = The value should be within the range listed in the table: Altitude Versus Barometric Pressure ⇒ If not in the specified range { Barometric Pressure Sensor 2 } Refer to: DTC P227B-P227E { Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor } Refer to: DTC P0106, P0107, or P0108 ⇓ If in the specified range
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Barometric Pressure Sensor = The value should be within the range listed in the table: Altitude Versus Barometric Pressure ⇒ If not in the specified range
- Ignition/Vehicle » Off
- Verify a condition does not exist with the component: Vent @ K20 Engine Control Module Debris / Dirty Moisture / Ice / Water ⇒ If a condition exists Repair or replace as necessary ⇓ If no conditions exist
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data. Verify the DTC does not set. ⇒ If the DTC sets Replace the component: K20 Engine Control Module ⇓ If the DTC is not set
- All OK. Repair Instructions Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the repair: Diagnostic Repair Verification Engine Control Module Replacement — K20 Engine Control Module For control module replacement, programming, and setup refer to: Control Module References Additional Procedures Barometric Pressure Sensor Reset — Perform only when the following component/system is replaced or serviced: K20 Engine Control Module — Replaced
