Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (with UV6)

Warning

After installation of the steering wheel airbag module to the steering wheel, slightly pull the module outward. If there is no give on the airbag module then it is secured correctly. If the airbag module is not fully attached personal injury could result.

Caution

If a vehicle is equipped with a head curtain inflator module ensure that the inflator module and tether are undamaged. If tether or curtain airbag are damaged in any way, they must be replaced.

Caution

Use care when working around the head curtain inflator module. Sharp tools may puncture the curtain airbag. If the head curtain inflator module is damaged in any way, it must be replaced. Removal Procedure

52. Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary and remove the fuse block.

4. Install the fuse block and connect the harness as noted when removed.

5. Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Duct - Left Side (1) » Install

6. Instrument Panel Outer Air Outlet Duct Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

7. Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct - Left Side (1) » Install

8. Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

9. Side Window Defogger Outlet Duct Retainer (2) » Install

10. Head-Up Display Bracket (2) » Install

11. Connect and position the wiring harness.

12. Head-Up Display Bracket Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [3x] — Fastener Specifications

13. Connect the electrical connector.

Note

Ensure that each tab on the head-up display is properly seated in the mating hole for proper alignment.
