Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose Replacement (LM2)

Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling
  2. Remove the left front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

  1. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Remove [3x]

  1. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Remove [3x]
  2. Reposition the rear portion of the front wheelhouse liner toward the front of the vehicle.

  1. Air Cleaner Outlet Front Duct Clamp (1) » Loosen [2x]
  2. Air Cleaner Outlet Front Duct (2) » Remove

  1. Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose Strap (2) @ Radiator Inlet Hose » Remove

  2. Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose Clamp (1) » Disengage — Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

  3. Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose (3) @ Thermostat Bypass Hose » Remove

  4. Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose (3) » Remove Installation Procedure

  5. Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose (3) @ Thermostat Bypass Hose » Install

  6. Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose Clamp (1) » Engage — Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

  7. Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose Strap (2) @ Radiator Inlet Hose » Install

  8. Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose (2) @ Radiator Surge Tank » Install

  9. Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Hose Clamp (1) » Engage — Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

  10. Air Cleaner Outlet Front Duct (2) » Install

  1. Air Cleaner Outlet Front Duct Clamp (1) » Tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications
  2. Move the rear portion of the front wheelhouse liner into position.

  1. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [3x] — Fastener Specifications

  2. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [3x] — Fastener Specifications

  3. Install the left front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

  4. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling

  5. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
