Sunroof Housing Bracket Replacement (Long Wheel Base)

Removal Procedure

Warning

Warning

Caution

If a vehicle is equipped with a head curtain inflator module ensure that the inflator module and tether are undamaged. If tether or curtain airbag are damaged in any way, they must be replaced.

Caution

Use care when working around the head curtain inflator module. Sharp tools may puncture the curtain airbag. If the head curtain inflator module is damaged in any way, it must be replaced.

1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling

2. Move the front seat fully forward.
3. Use a flat bladed plastic tool between the center pillar center trim panel (1) and the center pillar upper trim panel to disengage the upper retaining clips (2).
4. Pull from both sides of the center pillar center trim panel (1) to release the middle and lower retaining clips (2).

6. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Remove [2x]
7. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (2) » Remove [2x]
8. Pull the center pillar upper trim panel (3) toward the inside of the vehicle to disengage the retaining clips.
9. Center Pillar Center Trim Panel (3) » Reposition [2x]

10. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Remove [2x]
11. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Remove [2x]

12. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
13. Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel (1) » Reposition [2x]

14. Place the coat hook (2) in the open position.
15. Coat Hook Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
16. Coat Hook (2) » Remove [2x]

17. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs on the rear seat position center reading and courtesy lamp (1).

18. Lower the headlining trim panel (1).

19. Sunshade Support Bolt (1) » Remove [4x]

20. Sunroof Housing Bracket (2) » Remove Installation Procedure

21. Sunroof Housing Bracket (2) » Install

Caution

Refer to Fastener Caution.

2. Sunshade Support Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [4x] — Fastener Specifications

3. Headlining Trim Panel (1) » Install

4. Apply pressure upward on the rear seat position center reading and courtesy lamp (1) to engage the retaining tabs.

5. Coat Hook (2) » Install [2x]
6. Coat Hook Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

7. Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel (1) » Install [2x]

8. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications
9. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Install [2x]

10. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel (3) » Install [2x]
11. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (2) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications
12. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Install [2x]

13. Align 6 retaining clips (2) with the upper and lower trim panels.
14. Center Pillar Center Trim Panel (1) » Install [2x]
15. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling
