DTC Descriptors DTC B196E Front Seat Bolster Memory Module - Passenger Symptom Byte Information: Symptom Byte List Circuit/System Description An internal fault is detected inside the bolster module. No external circuits are involved. Conditions for Running the DTC Ignition ON. Lumbar/bolster switch request or lumbar/bolster control must be activated. Conditions for Setting the DTC The seat adjuster memory module detects an internal bolster module fault. Action Taken When the DTC Sets The seat adjuster memory module may disable lumbar and bolster functions. Conditions for Clearing the DTC The DTC clears when the diagnostic runs and passes. The history DTC will clear after 40 consecutive fault-free ignition cycles have occurred.
