- Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

- Rear Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Remove [4x]
- Rear Wheelhouse Liner Retainer (2) » Remove

- Rear Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Remove [3x]

- Rear Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Remove [7x]

- Rear Wheelhouse Liner (1) » Remove

- Rear Brake Hose Bracket Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
- Rear Brake Hose Bracket (2) » Remove [2x]

- Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Outer Bolt (2) » Remove
- Rear Shock Absorber Nut (1) » Remove
- Rear Shock Absorber Bolt (3) » Remove

- Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm (1) » Reposition

- Chassis Rear Wiring Harness Clip (1) » Remove
- Chassis Rear Wiring Harness » Reposition

- Rear Shock Absorber Nut (1) » Remove [3x]

- Rear Shock Absorber (1) » Remove Disassembly Procedure

- Place the rear shock absorber (3) into the CH-48845 Strut Spring Compressor (1) securing the two lower compressor arms to the rear coil spring lower coils.
- Adjust the CH-48845-10 Strut Spring Compressor Bridge Adapter (2) so that the opening of the adapter sufficiently captures the rear shock absorber mount.
- Install and secure the CH-48845-10 Strut Spring Compressor Bridge Adapter (2) to the two upper compressor arms of the CH-48845 Strut Spring Compressor (1).
- Adjusting the CH-48845 Strut Spring Compressor (1), remove any clearance between the CH- 48845-10 Strut Spring Compressor Bridge Adapter (2) and the rear shock absorber mount ensuring that it is properly positioned as shown.
- Using the CH-48845 Strut Spring Compressor (1), compress the rear coil spring enough to remove tension from the rear shock absorber mount.

- Rear Suspension Strut Nut (1) » Remove
- Rear Shock Absorber (3) » Remove
- Rear Coil Spring Insulator (2) » Remove

- Using the CH-48845 Strut Spring Compressor (1), release tension on the rear coil spring (2).
- Remove the rear coil spring (2) and remaining components from the CH-48845 Strut Spring Compressor (1).

Rear Shock Absorber Mount (1) » Remove

Rear Shock Absorber Bumper (2) » Remove

Rear Shock Absorber Boot (3) » Remove
-
Inspect the components and replace as necessary. Assembly Procedure

Rear Shock Absorber Boot (3) » Install
-
Rear Shock Absorber Bumper (2) » Install
-
Rear Shock Absorber Mount (1) » Install
-
Install the rear coil spring (2) and the associated components to the CH-48845 Strut Spring Compressor (1).

Using the CH-48845 Strut Spring Compressor (1), apply tension on the rear coil spring (2).

Rear Coil Spring Insulator (2) » Install
-
Rear Shock Absorber (3) » Install
-
Adjust the CH-48845 Strut Spring Compressor as necessary so enough of the threaded portion of the rear shock absorber rod is exposed.

Rear Suspension Strut Nut (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications
-
Using the CH-48845 Strut Spring Compressor (1), release all tension on the rear coil spring and the rear shock absorber mount.

Remove the rear shock absorber (3) from the CH-48845 Strut Spring Compressor (1). Installation Procedure

Apply anti-corrosion wax to the frame shock tower. Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair

Rear Brake Hose Bracket Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

Rear Wheelhouse Liner (1) » Install

Rear Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [7x] — Fastener Specifications
