Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin Replacement

  1. Set the parking brake in Service Mode. Parking Brake Service Mode Selection
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  4. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

  1. { If equipped } Rear Brake Bleeder Valve Cap (1) » Remove
  2. { If equipped } Rear Disc Brake Pad Wear Sensor (2) @ Rear Disc Brake Pad » Remove

  1. Electrical Connector (1) @ Rear Parking Brake Actuator » Disconnect

  1. Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]

  1. Remove the rear brake caliper (1) and support it with heavy mechanics wire.

  1. Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin (2) » Remove [2x]

  2. Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin Boot (1) » Remove and DISCARD [2x] Installation Procedure

  3. Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin Boot (1) » Install NEW [2x]

  1. Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin (2) » Install [2x]

  2. Rear Brake Caliper (1) » Install

  1. Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

  2. Electrical Connector (1) @ Rear Parking Brake Actuator » Connect

  1. { If equipped } Rear Disc Brake Pad Wear Sensor (2) @ Rear Disc Brake Pad » Install
  2. { If equipped } Rear Brake Bleeder Valve Cap (1) » Install
  3. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  4. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  5. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  6. Calibrate the park brake. Park Brake Calibration
