1. Transfer Case Assembly » Remove — Transfer Case Assembly Replacement

Caution

Refer to Machined Surface Damage Caution.

Note

DO NOT use a pry tool to remove the input shaft seal.

2. Drill a pilot hole and insert a self-tapping screw (1) into the body of the transfer case input shaft seal.
3. Using a set of pliers or slide hammer type tool, remove and DISCARD the transfer case input shaft seal (2). Installation Procedure

1. Using the DT-50648–A Seal Installer (1), install a NEW transfer case input shaft seal (2).
