1. Transfer Case Assembly » Remove — Transfer Case Assembly Replacement

Caution

Refer to Machined Surface Damage Caution.

Note

Do Not use a pry tool to remove the seal.

2. Drill a pilot hole and insert a self-tapping screw into the body of the input shaft seal  (1).
3. Using a set of pliers or slide hammer type tool, remove and DISCARD the input shaft seal (1). Installation Procedure

1. Using the DT-50648 Transfer Case Input Shaft Seal Installer (2), install a NEW transfer case input shaft seal (1).
