A history DTC will clear after 40 consecutive malfunction-free ignition cycles. - Test for 10.5 to 11.5 V between the test points: 12 V Reference circuit terminal B & Ground ⇒ If less than 10.5 V 4.1. Ignition/Vehicle » Off 4.2. Disconnect the electrical connector: K69 Transfer Case Control Module 4.3. Test for infinite resistance between the test points: 12 V Reference circuit terminal B @ Component harness & Ground ⇒ If less than infinite resistance » Repair the short to ground on the circuit. ⇓ If infinite resistance 4.4. Test for less than 2 Ω between the test points: 12 V Reference circuit terminal B @ Component harness & Terminal 33 @ Control module harness ⇒ If 2 Ω or greater » Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit. ⇒ If less than 2 Ω » Replace the component: K69 Transfer Case Control Module ⇒ If greater than 11.5 V 4.1. - Test for less than 2 Ω between the test points: Control circuit terminal C @ Component harness & Control circuit terminal 34 @ Control module harness ⇒ If 2 Ω or greater » Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit. ⇓ If less than 2 Ω
- Connect the electrical connector: A16 Transfer Case Four Wheel Drive Actuator

- Connect a 3 A fused jumper wire between the test points: 12 V Reference circuit terminal 33 @ Control module harness & B+
- Momentarily connect a jumper wire between the test points: Control circuit terminal 34 @ Control module harness & Ground Verify the component produces a clicking sound: A16 Transfer Case Four Wheel Drive Actuator ⇒ If the component does not produce a sound Replace the component: A16 Transfer Case Four Wheel Drive Actuator ⇓ If the component produces a sound
