Loss of battery voltage at steering gear Note: Wiring harness, connectors, and terminals that are part of the electric belt drive rack and pinion steering gear cannot be repaired, the appropriate electric belt drive rack and pinion steering gear component must be replaced. Inspect the power steering wiring harness extension harness connectors and terminals leading to the steering gear for looseness, corrosion, and/or damage. Inspect wiring harness, connectors and terminals at the electric belt drive rack and pinion steering gear torque sensor for looseness, corrosion, and/or damage. If the wiring harness, connectors and terminals are damaged and/or corroded at the power steering gear torque sensor, replace the electric belt drive rack and pinion steering gear.
