Restraints Control Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

Warning

Do not strike or jolt the Restraints Control Module (RCM). Before applying power to the RCM, make sure that it is securely fastened. Failure to observe the correct installation procedure could cause Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs.

Warning

1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling
2. Front Floor Console » Remove — Front Floor Console Removal and Installation

3. Airbag Sensing and Diagnostic Module Nut (1) » Remove [3x]

4. Restraints Control Module (2) » Remove

5. Disconnect the electrical connector. Installation Procedure

6. Connect the electrical connector.

7. Restraints Control Module (2) » Install
