Backup Bulb Replacement

Removal Procedure

Open the rear compartment lid.

Using the appropriate tool, release the tabs on the back body opening side center gutter.

Release the back body opening side lower gutter retainers and remove the back body opening side lower gutter (1).

Rear Bumper Fascia (1) » Remove — Rear Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation

Rear Body Structure Stop Lamp Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Release the retaining tab.

Rear Body Structure Stop Lamp Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
Rear Body Structure Stop Lamp (2) » Remove

Backup Bulb Replacement — figure 6

Rotate the backup bulb socket (1) a quarter turn counterclockwise to release.

Backup Bulb Socket (1) » Remove
Remove the backup bulb (2) straight from the backup bulb socket (1). Installation Procedure
Install the backup bulb (2) straight into the backup bulb socket (1).
Backup Bulb Socket (1) » Install
Rotate the backup bulb socket (1) a quarter turn clockwise to engage.

Ensure the rear body structure lamp (1) is properly aligned with the tail lamp retainers (2).
Rear Body Structure Stop Lamp (2) » Install

Rear Body Structure Stop Lamp Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications
Secure the retaining tab.
Connect the electrical connector.
Rear Body Structure Stop Lamp Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications
Rear Bumper Fascia (1) » Install — Rear Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation

Back Body Opening Side Lower Gutter (1) » Install

Back Body Opening Side Center Gutter » Install
Close the rear compartment lid.
