The B306 Parking Assist Alarm Sensors are 3-wire ultrasonic sensors that are used to determine the distance between the vehicle and an object. The K182 Parking Assist Control Module supplies a voltage reference to the B306 Parking Assist Alarm Sensors via voltage reference circuit 2374 and provides ground via low reference circuit 2379. The K182 Parking Assist Control Module triggers the B306 Parking Assist Alarm Sensors in a sequential loop. After each B306 Parking Assist Alarm Sensor transmits, the K182 Parking Assist Control Module uses the sensor echo received through the signal circuits 2375, 2376, 2377, and 2378 to calculate the distance and position of an object.   1. Ignition ON.
  2. Verify DTC B1A30 is not set. ⇒ If DTC B1A30 is set Refer to DTC B1A30. ⇓ If DTC B1A30 is not set
  3. Verify DTC B132B 12, B132C 12, B132D 12, or B132E 12 is not set. ⇒ If DTC B132B 12, B132C 12, B132D 12, or B132E 12 is set 3.1. Verify the appropriate B306 Parking Assist Alarm Sensors are not contaminated with snow, mud, dirt, slush, or ice. ⇒ If contaminated, clean the B306 Parking Assist Alarm Sensors. ⇓ If there is no contamination 3.2. Refer to Circuit/System Testing. ⇓ If DTC B132B 12, B132C 12, B132D 12, or B132E 12 is not set
  4. Verify DTC B132B 4A, B132C 4A, B132D 4A or B132E 4A is not set. ⇒ If DTC B132B 4A, B132C 4A, B132D 4A or B132E 4A is set Replace the appropriate B306 Parking Assist Alarm Sensor with the correct sensor type. ⇓ If DTC B132B 4A, B132C 4A, B132D 4A or B132E 4A is not set

Ignition OFF, disconnect the connector at the appropriate B306 Parking Assist Alarm Sensor: DTC B132B = B306E Parking Assist Alarm Sensor – Rear Left Outer DTC B132C = B306F Parking Assist Alarm Sensor – Rear Left Middle DTC B132D = B306G Parking Assist Alarm Sensor – Rear Right Middle DTC B132E = B306H Parking Assist Alarm Sensor – Rear Right Outer
  7. Verify a test lamp illuminates between low reference circuit terminal 3 and B+ ⇒ If the test lamp does not illuminate 2.1. Test circuit 2379 for an open/high resistance. ⇒ If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit. ⇓ If an open/high resistance is not found 2.2. Replace the K182 Parking Assist Control Module ⇓ If the test lamp illuminates
  8. Ignition ON.
  9. Verify a test lamp illuminates between voltage reference circuit terminal 1 and ground. ⇒ If a test lamp does not illuminate 4.1. Test circuit 2374 for a short to ground. ⇒ If a short to ground is found, repair the fault on the circuit. ⇓ If a short to ground is not found 4.2. Test circuit 2374 for an open/high resistance ⇒ If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit. ⇓ If an open/high resistance is not found 4.3. Replace the K182 Parking Assist Control Module ⇓ If a test lamp illuminates
  10. Test for 3.5 – 12.0 V between signal circuit terminal 2 and ground. ⇒ If less than 3.5 V 5.1. Test the appropriate circuit for a short to ground: DTC B132B = Circuit 2375 DTC B132C = Circuit 2376 DTC B132D = Circuit 2377 DTC B132E = Circuit 2378 ⇒ If a short to ground is found, repair the fault on the circuit. ⇓ If a short to ground is not found 5.2. Test the appropriate circuit for an open/high resistance: DTC B132B = Circuit 2375 DTC B132C = Circuit 2376 DTC B132D = Circuit 2377 DTC B132E = Circuit 2378 ⇒ If an open/high resistance is found, repair the fault on the circuit. ⇓ If an open/high resistance is not found 5.3. Replace the K182 Parking Assist Control Module ⇒ If greater than 12.0 V 5.1. Test the appropriate circuit for a short to voltage: DTC B132B = Circuit 2375 DTC B132C = Circuit 2376 DTC B132D = Circuit 2377 DTC B132E = Circuit 2378 ⇒ If a short to voltage is found, repair the fault on the circuit. ⇓ If a short to voltage is not found 5.2. Replace the K182 Parking Assist Control Module ⇓ If between 3.5 – 12.0 V
