Diagnostic Instructions Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle prior to using this diagnostic procedure. Review Strategy Based Diagnosis for an overview of the diagnostic approach. Circuit/System Description The Night Vision Control Module performs fault detection on itself and the camera attached to it. The night vision control module sends a processed image output directly to the instrument cluster via a dedicated LVDS video cable. The Instrument Cluster monitors the video signal for faults.   1. Ignition ON.
  2. Verify there are no other DTCs set in the K172 Night Vision Control Module. ⇒ If any other DTC is set Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle ⇓ If no other DTCs are set
  3. Refer to Circuit/System Testing. Circuit/System Testing
  4. Ignition ON.
  5. Verify the night vision LVDS video cable is properly connected at the P16 Instrument Panel Cluster Control Module, B276 Night Vision Camera, K172 Night Vision Control Module, and in- line connections; and there is no damage to the cable or connections. ⇒ If connection problems or cable damage is noted Perform the appropriate repair or replacement to correct any issues ⇓ If no connection problems or cable damage is noted
  6. Replace the night vision LVDS video cable between the K172 Night Vision Control Module and the P16 Instrument Panel Cluster Control Module. Ignition ON/Vehicle in Service Mode.
  7. Ignition ON.
  8. Verify DTC is not set. ⇒ If DTC is not set All OK. ⇓ If DTC is set
  9. Replace the K172 Night Vision Control Module
  10. Ignition ON.
  11. Verify DTC is not set. ⇒ If DTC is not set All OK. ⇓ If DTC is set
  12. Replace the P16 Instrument Panel Cluster Control Module Repair Instructions Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the repair. Control Module References for control module replacement, programming and setup
