Engine Controls and Fuel - 3.0L LM2 Diesel | Diagnostic Information and Procedures | Document ID: 5501929 Diagnostic Instructions Perform the Diagnostic System Check prior to using this diagnostic procedure: Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle Review the description of Strategy Based Diagnosis: Strategy Based Diagnosis An overview of each diagnostic category can be found here: Diagnostic Procedure Instructions DTC Descriptor DTC P10DC Reductant Control Module Heater Supply Voltage Circuit Low DTC P10DD Reductant Control Module Heater Supply Voltage Circuit High Conditions for Running the DTC DTC P10F4, P20FF = Not set Ignition = On or Engine = Running Frequency the DTC runs = Continuously — After the running conditions are met Conditions for Setting the DTC Reductant Heater Supply Voltage = Less than 9 V or Greater than 15 V — For greater than 5 s Actions Taken When the DTC Sets DTCs listed in the DTC Descriptor category = Type B DTC Conditions for Clearing the DTC DTCs listed in the DTC Descriptor category = Type B DTC Diagnostic Aids A low or high voltage DTC set in multiple modules may indicate a concern with the charging system. A possible cause for DTCs regarding high system voltage could be overcharging with a battery charger or jump starting.   1. Ignition » On / Vehicle » In Service Mode
  2. Verify DTC P0560, P0561, P0562, P0563 P10DA, P10DB, P16D7, P16D8, P16D9, P21CB, U010E, U021A, U023A, U029D, U029E, U02A9 is not set. ⇒ If any of the DTCs are set Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle. ⇓ If none of the DTCs are set
  3. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data. Verify the DTC does not set. ⇒ If the DTC sets Refer to: Circuit/System Testing ⇓ If the DTC is not set
  4. All OK. Circuit/System Testing
  1. Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems » Off
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector: K115 Reductant Control Module
  3. Test for less than 10 Ω between the test points: Ground circuit terminal 13 @ Control module harness & Ground Ground circuit terminal 25 @ Control module harness & Ground ⇒ If 10 Ω or greater 3.1. Disconnect the ground connection: Ground terminal G322 3.2. Test for less than 2 Ω between the test points: Ground circuit terminal 13 @ Control module harness & The other end of the circuit Ground circuit terminal 25 @ Control module harness & The other end of the circuit ⇒ If 2 Ω or greater » Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit. ⇒ If less than 2 Ω » Repair the open/high resistance in the ground connection. ⇓ If less than 10 Ω
  4. Verify a test lamp turns On between the test points: B+ circuit terminal 38 @ Control module harness & Ground ⇒ If the test lamp does not turn On and the circuit fuse is OK 4.1. Remove » Test Lamp 4.2. Remove the component: F75UA Fuse 4.3. Test for less than 2 Ω between the test points: B+ circuit terminal 38 @ Control module harness & F75UA Fuse — Output terminal ⇒ If 2 Ω or greater » Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit. ⇒ If less than 2 Ω » Verify the fuse is OK and there is voltage at the fuse. ⇒ If the test lamp does not turn On and the circuit fuse is open 4.1. Remove » Test Lamp 4.2. Test for infinite resistance between the test points: B+ circuit terminal 38 @ Control module harness & Ground ⇒ If less than infinite resistance » Repair the short to ground on the circuit. ⇒ If infinite resistance » Replace the component: K115 Reductant Control Module ⇓ If the test lamp turns On
