Rear Brake Hose Replacement

Single Use Fasteners and Components Rear Brake Washer [2x]

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  3. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

  1. Rear Brake Hose Bracket Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
  2. Rear Brake Hose Bracket (2) » Remove [2x]

  1. Rear Brake Hose Fitting (1) » Remove
  2. Rear Brake Washer (2) » Remove and DISCARD [2x]
  3. Rear Brake Hose (3) @ Rear Brake Caliper » Remove
  4. Plug the rear brake hose outlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
  5. Plug the rear brake caliper inlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

  1. Rear Brake Rear Pipe Nut (1) » Remove

  2. Rear Brake Hose Clip (2) » Remove

  3. Rear Brake Hose (3) » Remove

  4. Plug the rear brake hose inlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

  5. Cap the rear brake rear pipe outlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination. Installation Procedure

  6. Remove the cap from the rear brake rear pipe outlet.

  7. Remove the plug from the rear brake hose inlet.

  8. Rear Brake Hose (3) » Install

  9. Rear Brake Hose Clip (2) » Install

  1. Rear Brake Rear Pipe Nut (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

  2. Remove the plug from the rear brake hose outlet.

  3. Remove the plug the rear brake caliper inlet.

  4. Rear Brake Washer (2) » Install NEW [2x]

  5. Rear Brake Hose (3) @ Rear Brake Caliper » Install

  6. Rear Brake Hose Fitting (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

  7. Rear Brake Hose Bracket (2) » Install [2x]

  8. Rear Brake Hose Bracket Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

  9. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection

  10. Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding

  11. Check for brake system leaks.

  12. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

  13. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
