Caution

This brake caliper is coated with a specialized paint. Use care when handling and servicing to ensure the paint does not get chipped or scratched. Clean any brake fluid from painted surfaces with denatured alcohol, or equivalent, as soon as possible. Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
3. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

4. Rear Brake Hose Bracket Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
5. Rear Brake Hose Bracket (2) » Remove [2x]

6. Rear Brake Hose Fitting (1) » Remove
7. Rear Brake Washer (2) » Remove and DISCARD [2x]
8. Rear Brake Hose (3) @ Rear Brake Caliper » Remove
9. Plug the rear brake hose outlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
10. Plug the rear brake caliper inlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

11. Rear Brake Rear Pipe Nut (1) » Remove

12. Rear Brake Hose Clip (2) » Remove

13. Rear Brake Hose (3) » Remove

14. Plug the rear brake hose inlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

15. Cap the rear brake rear pipe outlet to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination. Installation Procedure

16. Remove the cap from the rear brake rear pipe outlet.

17. Remove the plug from the rear brake hose inlet.

18. Rear Brake Hose (3) » Install

19. Rear Brake Hose Clip (2) » Install

5. Rear Brake Rear Pipe Nut (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

6. Remove the plug from the rear brake hose outlet.

7. Remove the plug the rear brake caliper inlet.

8. Rear Brake Washer (2) » Install NEW [2x]

9. Rear Brake Hose (3) @ Rear Brake Caliper » Install

10. Rear Brake Hose Fitting (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

11. Rear Brake Hose Bracket (2) » Install [2x]

12. Rear Brake Hose Bracket Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

13. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection

14. Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding

15. Check for brake system leaks.

16. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

17. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
