Rear Brake Pipe Connector Replacement

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  3. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

  1. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Remove [3x]
  2. Remove the front wheelhouse liner.

  1. Front And Rear Brake Pipe Nut (2) @ Rear Brake Pipe Connector » Remove [2x]
  2. Front And Rear Brake Pipe (1) @ Rear Brake Pipe Connector » Remove [2x]
  3. Rear Brake Rear Pipe Nut (3) @ Rear Brake Pipe Connector » Remove [2x]
  4. Rear Brake Rear Pipe (4) @ Rear Brake Pipe Connector » Remove [2x]
  5. Cap the front and rear brake pipe (4) outlets and the rear brake rear pipe (2) inlets to avoid fluid loss and contamination.

  1. Rear Brake Pipe Connector Bolt (1) » Remove

  2. Rear Brake Pipe Connector (2) » Remove Installation Procedure

  3. Rear Brake Pipe Connector (2) » Install

  1. Rear Brake Pipe Connector Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

  2. Remove the caps from the front and rear brake pipe (4) and the rear brake rear pipe (2).

  3. Rear Brake Rear Pipe (4) @ Rear Brake Pipe Connector » Install [2x]

  4. Rear Brake Rear Pipe Nut (3) @ Rear Brake Pipe Connector » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

  5. Front And Rear Brake Pipe (1) @ Rear Brake Pipe Connector » Install

  6. Front And Rear Brake Pipe Nut (2) @ Rear Brake Pipe Connector » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

  7. Install the front wheelhouse liner.

  8. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [3x] — Fastener Specifications

  9. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [3x] — Fastener Specifications

  1. Front Wheelhouse Liner Retainer (2) » Install

  2. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [3x] — Fastener Specifications

  3. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [3x] — Fastener Specifications

  4. { If equipped } Front Tire Front Air Deflector Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

  5. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection

  6. Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding

  7. Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

  8. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.

  9. Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir to the maximum-full level with GM approved brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container. Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling
