Heater and Air Conditioning Auxiliary Control Replacement (with 9C1) Removal Procedure

Caution

Use care when working around the head curtain inflator module. Sharp tools may puncture the curtain airbag. If the head curtain inflator module is damaged in any way, it must be replaced.

1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling
2. Place the rear seat in the fold and tumble position.

3. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

5. Liftgate Weatherstrip (1) » Reposition

7. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

9. Rear Seat Belt Retractor Sleeve (1) » Reposition

14. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
15. Feed the rear seat belt opening bezel and rear seat belt through the body lock upper trim panel.

17. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
18. Pull the body side rear window garnish molding (1) outwards enough to access the tether fastener.

22. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

29. Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel (1) » Remove
30. Disconnect the electrical connectors and wiring harness retainers.

2. Heater and Air Conditioning Auxiliary Control Bolt (2) » Install and tighten [4x] — Fastener Specifications

3. Connect the electrical connector. (1)

4. Connect the electrical connectors and wiring harness retainers.

5. Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel (1) » Install

6. Cargo Tie Down Loop (4) » Install

7. Cargo Tie Down Loop Bolt (3) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

8. Cargo Tie Down Loop Bolt Cap (2) » Close

9. Convenience Net Retainer (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

10. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding (1) » Install

11. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

12. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Tether Retaining Clip (2) » Install

13. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

14. Position the body side rear window garnish molding tether in the same position as before the molding removal.

15. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding (1) » Install

16. Feed the rear seat belt opening bezel and rear seat belt through the body lock upper trim panel.

17. Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel (1) » Install

18. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

19. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Install

20. Rear Seat Belt Opening Bezel (1) » Install

21. Rear Seat Belt Retractor Anchor Plate Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

22. Rear Seat Belt Retractor Sleeve (1) » Reposition

23. Rear End Trim Finish Panel (1) » Install

24. Liftgate Lock Striker Cover (1) » Install

27. Return the rear seat to the original position.
