Antenna Coaxial Cable Replacement - Headlining (without DRZ) Removal Procedure

Warning

Refer to SIR Warning.

Caution

If a vehicle is equipped with a head curtain inflator module ensure that the inflator module and tether are undamaged. If tether or curtain airbag are damaged in any way, they must be replaced.

Caution

Use care when working around the head curtain inflator module. Sharp tools may puncture the curtain airbag. If the head curtain inflator module is damaged in any way, it must be replaced.

1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling

2. Reposition the weatherstrip as necessary.
3. Pull the windshield garnish molding (1)  rearwards to release the tether from the A pillar.
4. Access the windshield garnish bolt (2) which is located on the backside of the windshield garnish molding (1) and secures the tether to the A pillar.

6. Windshield Garnish Molding - Left Side (1) » Remove

7. Fold the assist handle downward and hold. (2)
8. Use a small flat-bladed tool to open the assist handle covers to access the bolts.
9. Roof Rail Assist Handle Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
10. Roof Rail Assist Handle (2) » Remove

11. Sunshade Retainer Bolt Cover (1) » Remove
12. Sunshade Bolt (2) » Remove [3x]
13. Squeeze the tabs at the base of the sunshade (3) to detach it from the roof panel and allow the headliner with the sunshade attached to be lowered.
14. Sunshade - Left Side (3) » Reposition

15. Move the front seat fully forward.
16. Use a flat bladed plastic tool between the center pillar center trim panel (1) and the center pillar upper trim panel to disengage the upper retaining clips (2).
17. Pull from both sides of the center pillar center trim panel (1) to release the middle and lower retaining clips (2).

19. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Remove
20. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (2) » Remove
21. Pull the center pillar upper trim panel (3) toward the inside of the vehicle to disengage the retaining clips.

24. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Remove
25. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Remove

26. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
27. Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel (1) » Reposition

28. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
29. Pull the body side rear window garnish molding (1) outwards enough to access the tether fastener.

30. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Remove
31. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Tether Retaining Clip (2) » Remove

32. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Remove

33. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

35. Place the coat hook (2) in the open position.
36. Coat Hook Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
37. Coat Hook (2) » Remove [2x]

38. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs on the rear seat position center reading and courtesy lamp (1).

39. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs on the cargo center courtesy lamp  (1).

40. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide Cover (1) » Open
41. Rear Seat Belt Guide Bolt (2) » Remove

42. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide (1) » Reposition
43. Using a suitable trim tool, gently pry and pull downwards on the rear seat belt opening bezel  (2) to release the retaining clip.
44. Rear Seat Belt Opening Bezel (2) » Remove

45. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs.
46. Rear Seat Center Belt Opening Bezel - 3rd Row Seat (1) » Remove
47. Feed the 3rd row seat center belt through the rear seat center belt opening bezel (1).

48. Lower the left rear section of the headlining trim panel (1).
49. Lower the left rear section of the headlining rear trim panel , if equipped.

50. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

51. Release the retaining tabs.

53. Antenna Coaxial Cable (1) » Install

54. Secure the retaining tabs.

55. Connect the electrical connectors.

56. Install the headlining rear trim panel , if equipped.

57. Headlining Trim Panel (1) » Install

58. Feed the 3rd row seat center belt through the rear seat center belt opening bezel (1).

59. Rear Seat Center Belt Opening Bezel - 3rd Row Seat (1) » Install

60. Rear Seat Belt Opening Bezel (2) » Install

61. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide (1) » Install

Caution

Refer to Fastener Caution.

10. Rear Seat Belt Guide Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

11. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide Cover (1) » Close

12. Apply pressure upward on the cargo center courtesy lamp (1) to engage the retaining tabs.

13. Apply pressure upward on the rear seat position center reading and courtesy lamp (1) to engage the retaining tabs.

14. Coat Hook (2) » Install [2x]

15. Coat Hook Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

16. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding (1) » Install

17. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

18. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Tether Retaining Clip (2) » Install

19. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

Note

Position the body side rear window garnish molding tether in the same position as before the molding removal.

20. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding (1) » Install

21. Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel (1) » Install

22. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

23. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Install

24. Liftgate Weatherstrip (1) » Reposition

25. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel (3) » Install

26. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

27. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Install

28. Align 6 retaining clips (2) with the upper and lower trim panels.

29. Center Pillar Center Trim Panel (1) » Install

30. Sunshade Bolt (2) » Install and tighten [3x] — Fastener Specifications

31. Sunshade Retainer Bolt Cover (1) » Install

32. Roof Rail Assist Handle (2) » Install

33. Roof Rail Assist Handle Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

34. Windshield Garnish Molding Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

35. Align the retainer clips with the slots in the A pillar and press the windshield garnish molding  (1) into place.

36. Windshield Garnish Molding - Left Side (1) » Install

37. Reposition the weatherstrip as necessary.

38. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling
