Automatic Level Control Module Replacement
Special Tools Rear Suspension CH-52667 Air Spring Inflator Equivalent regional tools: Special Tools
- Remove the spare tire and wheel assembly.
- Using the scan tool, deflate the automatic level control air supply reservoir.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

- Remove the air intake/exhaust line (1) from the body grommet.
- Remove the air line retaining clip (2).

- Remove the air intake filter retainer (1).

- Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
- Remove the wire harness retainer (3).
- Disconnect the electrical connector (2).

- Remove the 5 automatic level control air compressor tube fittings (1) from the air suspension controller.

- Remove and DISCARD the 5 old automatic level control air compressor tube fittings (2) and bite rings from the 5 automatic level control air compressor tubes (1).

- Disconnect the air suspension controller electrical connector (1).

Connect the air suspension controller electrical connector (1).

Loosen the 5 automatic level control air compressor tube fittings (1) to allow removal of the 5 shipping plugs (2) from the air suspension controller and DISCARD.

Without removing the 5 automatic level control air compressor tube fittings (1) in the air suspension controller, fully insert the 5 automatic level control air compressor tubes (3) into the 5 automatic level control air compressor tube fittings in the air suspension controller and tighten. Connect the electrical connector (2).

Install the wire harness retainer (3).

Connect the electrical connector (1).
-
Install the air intake filter retainer (1).
-
Install the air line retaining clip (2).
-
Install the air intake/exhaust line (1) in the body grommet.

Install the spare tire and wheel assembly.

- Remove the automatic level control air supply reservoir air valve cap (1).
- Install CH-52667 Air Spring Inflator to the automatic level control air supply reservoir air valve (2) and set the regulator on the nitrogen tank to 16 Bar (232 PSI).
- Using CH-52667 Air Spring Inflator, open the valve on the pressure gage to fill the automatic level control air supply reservoir.
- Using CH-52667 Air Spring Inflator and the shop nitrogen tank, fill the automatic level control air supply reservoir to 16 Bar (232 PSI).
- Close the pressure gauge valve and remove CH-52667 Air Spring Inflator from the automatic level control air supply reservoir.
- Install the automatic level control air supply reservoir air valve cap (1) and tighten. Fastener Specifications.
- Partially lower the vehicle, but DO NOT let the wheels touch the ground.
- Using GDS2 tool, use short-term inflate to increase pressure to the air springs: Front: 6 Bar (87 PSI) Rear: 5 Bar (73 PSI)
- Using GDS2, verify automatic level control air supply tank pressure is at 16 Bar (232 PSI), if not repeat steps 12 - 16.
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
