Automatic Level Control Module Replacement

  1. Remove the spare tire and wheel assembly.
  1. Using the scan tool, deflate the automatic level control air supply reservoir.

  1. Remove the air intake/exhaust line (1) from the body grommet.
  2. Remove the air line retaining clip (2).

  1. Remove the air intake filter retainer (1).

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
  2. Remove the wire harness retainer (3).
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector (2).

  1. Remove the 5 automatic level control air compressor tube fittings (1) from the air suspension controller.

  1. Remove and DISCARD the 5 old automatic level control air compressor tube fittings (2) and bite rings from the 5 automatic level control air compressor tubes (1).

  1. Disconnect the air suspension controller electrical connector (1).

  1. Automatic Level Control Module Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [4x] — Fastener Specifications

  2. Connect the air suspension controller electrical connector (1).

  1. Loosen the 5 automatic level control air compressor tube fittings (1) to allow removal of the 5 shipping plugs (2) from the air suspension controller and DISCARD.

  2. Without removing the 5 automatic level control air compressor tube fittings (1) in the air suspension controller, fully insert the 5 automatic level control air compressor tubes (3) into the 5 automatic level control air compressor tube fittings in the air suspension controller and tighten.   3. Connect the electrical connector (2).

  4. Install the wire harness retainer (3).

  5. Connect the electrical connector (1).

  6. Install the air intake filter retainer (1).

  7. Install the air line retaining clip (2).

  8. Install the air intake/exhaust line (1) in the body grommet.

  9. Install the spare tire and wheel assembly.

  1. Remove the automatic level control air supply reservoir air valve cap (1).
  2. Install CH-52667 Air Spring Inflator to the automatic level control air supply reservoir air valve (2) and set the regulator on the nitrogen tank to 16 Bar (232 PSI).
  3. Using CH-52667 Air Spring Inflator, open the valve on the pressure gage to fill the automatic level control air supply reservoir.
  4. Using CH-52667 Air Spring Inflator and the shop nitrogen tank, fill the automatic level control air supply reservoir to 16 Bar (232 PSI).
  5. Close the pressure gauge valve and remove CH-52667 Air Spring Inflator from the automatic level control air supply reservoir.
  6. Install the automatic level control air supply reservoir air valve cap (1) and tighten. Fastener Specifications.
  7. Partially lower the vehicle, but DO NOT let the wheels touch the ground.
  8. Using GDS2 tool, use short-term inflate to increase pressure to the air springs: Front: 6 Bar (87 PSI) Rear: 5 Bar (73 PSI)
  9. Using GDS2, verify automatic level control air supply tank pressure is at 16 Bar (232 PSI), if not repeat steps 12 - 16.
  10. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  11. After installation, program the automatic level control module. Control Module References
