DTC Descriptors DTC B196D Front Seat Bolster Memory Module - Driver Symptom Byte Information: Symptom Byte List Circuit/System Description An internal fault is detected inside the Front Seat Bolster Memory Module - Driver. No external circuits are involved. Conditions for Running the DTC Ignition ON. Lumbar/bolster switch request or lumbar/bolster control must be activated. Conditions for Setting the DTC The Driver Seat Adjuster Memory Module detects an internal Front Seat Bolster Memory Module - Driver. Action Taken When the DTC Sets The Driver Seat Adjuster Memory Module may disable lumbar and bolster functions. Conditions for Clearing the DTC The DTC clears when the diagnostic runs and passes. The history DTC will clear after 40 consecutive fault-free ignition cycles have occurred.   1. Ignition ON.
  2. Operate all lumbar and bolster functions.
  3. Verify DTC B196D is not set. ⇒ If the DTC is set Replace the K104D Front Seat Bladder Control Module - Driver. ⇓ If the DTC is not set
