Removal Procedure

1. Deploy the assist steps.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

3. Retainer (2) » Disengage [2x]
4. Assist Step Wire (1) » Reposition away
5. Assist Step Finish Cap Bolt (3) » Remove

6. Disengage the retaining tabs (2) from the slots (1) in the assist step.
7. Assist Step Front Finish Cap (3) » Remove

8. Electrical Connector (1) » Disconnect

9. Retainer (1) » Disengage [3x]
10. Wiring Harness Retainer Bolt (2) » Remove [2x]

11. Electrical Connector (1) » Disconnect

12. Retainer (2) » Disengage

13. Assist Step Wire (3) » Remove Installation Procedure

14. Assist Step Wire (3) » Install

15. Retainer (2) » Engage

16. Electrical Connector (1) » Connect

17. Retainer (1) » Engage [3x]

Caution

Refer to Fastener Caution.

5. Wiring Harness Retainer Bolt (2) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

6. Electrical Connector (1) » Connect

7. Engage the retaining tabs (2) to the slots (1) in the assist step.

8. Assist Step Front Finish Cap (3) » Install

9. Assist Step Finish Cap Bolt (3) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

10. Retainer (2) » Engage [2x]

11. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
