Removal Procedure

  1. Rear Bumper Fascia (1) » Remove — Rear Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation
  2. Disconnect all electrical connectors.
  3. Remove the wiring harness.

  1. Rear Bumper Fascia Molding Retainer (1) » Remove [4x]
  2. Using the appropriate tool, release the rear bumper fascia lower molding (2).

  1. Turn the 2 rear bumper fascia trailer hitch cover retainer (1) ¼ turn counter clockwise and remove.

  1. If equipped, release the 3 retainer tabs and remove the low frequency rear bumper antenna (1).

  1. Remove the left and right side object sensing module bolt (1).
  2. Remove the left and right side object sensing alert module (2).

  1. Lift the locking tabs on the housing and remove the 4 parking assist alarm sensors (1).

  1. Disengage the wire at the connector, disengage opposite end, then pull back on each tab, and apply slight force on rear closure hands fee sensor (1) push the sensor out of the tabs.

  1. Rear Closure Hands Free Module Bolt (1) » Remove
  2. Rear Closure Hands Free Module (2) » Remove

  1. Rear Closure Hands Free Module Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
  2. Rear Closure Hands Free Lamp (2) » Remove

  1. Rear Closure Hands Free Module Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
  2. Rear Closure Hands Free Module Retainer (2) » Remove [2x]

  1. Rear Closure Hands Free Module Bracket (1) » Remove

  1. Rear Fascia Signal Lamp Bolt (1) » Remove [4x]

  1. Rear Fascia Lower Signal Lamp (1) » Remove [2x]

  1. Rear Bumper Fascia Bolt (1) » Remove [4x]

  2. Rear Bumper Fascia Retainer (2) » Remove [4x]

  3. Release the retainer tabs on the rear lower fascia  and remove from the rear bumper upper fascia (3). Installation Procedure

  4. Install the rear bumper upper fascia (3) to the rear bumper lower fascia.

  5. Rear Bumper Fascia Retainer (2) » Install [4x]

  1. Rear Bumper Fascia Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [4x] — Fastener Specifications

  2. Rear Fascia Lower Signal Lamp (1) » Install [2x]

  3. Rear Fascia Signal Lamp Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [4x] — Fastener Specifications

  4. Rear Closure Hands Free Module Bracket (1) » Install

  5. Rear Closure Hands Free Module Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

  6. Rear Closure Hands Free Module Retainer (2) » Install [2x]

  7. Rear Closure Hands Free Lamp (2) » Install

  8. Rear Closure Hands Free Module Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

  9. Rear Closure Hands Free Module (2) » Install

  10. Rear Closure Hands Free Module Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

  11. Rear Closure Hands Free Sensor (1) » Install

  12. Connect the electrical connector.

  13. { If equipped } Low Frequency Rear Bumper Antenna (1) » Install

  14. Rear Bumper Fascia Trailer Hitch Cover (2) » Install

  15. Install the 2 rear bumper fascia trailer hitch cover retainer (1) turn a ¼ turn clockwise to secure.

  16. Install the left and right side object sensing alert module (2).

  17. Install and tighten the left and right side object sensing alert module (1). Fastener Specifications

  1. Insert the 4 parking assist alarm sensor (1)  into the housing.

  2. Rear Bumper Fascia Molding (2) » Install

  3. Rear Bumper Fascia Molding Retainer (1) » Install [4x]

  4. Install the wiring harness.

  5. Connect all electrical connectors.

  6. Rear Bumper Fascia (1) » Install — Rear Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation

  7. Perform the necessary programming and setup procedure: Control Module References
