Auxiliary Wireless Communication Interface Antenna Replacement Removal Procedure

Warning

Caution

If a vehicle is equipped with a head curtain inflator module ensure that the inflator module and tether are undamaged. If tether or curtain airbag are damaged in any way, they must be replaced.

Caution

Use care when working around the head curtain inflator module. Sharp tools may puncture the curtain airbag. If the head curtain inflator module is damaged in any way, it must be replaced.

3. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

5. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

7. Instrument Panel Trim Pad Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
8. Instrument Panel Trim Pad (2) » Remove
9. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

10. Instrument Panel Switch Trim Plate Bolt (1) » Remove
11. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
12. Instrument Panel Switch Trim Plate (2) » Remove

13. Reposition the weatherstrip as necessary.
14. Pull down the windshield garnish molding (1) rearwards to release the tether from the A pillar.
15. Access the windshield garnish bolt (2) which is located on the backside of the windshield garnish molding (1) and secures the tether to the A pillar.

18. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

Use care not to bend or deform the thin area of the instrument panel trim pad.

7. Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate (2) » Install

8. Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bolt (1) » Tighten [4x] — Fastener Specifications

9. Connect the electrical connectors.

10. Instrument Panel Transmission Shift Opening Cover (2) » Install

11. Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [6x] — Fastener Specifications

12. Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [15x] — Fastener Specifications

13. Connect the electrical connector.

14. Radio Front Speaker (2) » Install

15. Radio Front Speaker Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

16. Radio Front Speaker Grille (1) » Install

17. Windshield Garnish Molding (3) » Install

18. Windshield Pillar Assist Handle Bolt (2) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

19. Windshield Pillar Assist Handle Cover (1) » Install [2x]

20. Reposition the weatherstrip as necessary.

21. Connect the electrical connector.

22. Instrument Panel Trim Pad (2) » Install

23. Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [6x] — Fastener Specifications

24. Instrument Panel Center Trim Plate Applique (1) » Install

25. Instrument Panel Trim Plate Applique (1) » Install

26. Instrument Panel Fuse Block Access Hole Cover (1) » Install

27. Connect the electrical connector.

28. Radio Front Center Speaker (2) » Install

29. Radio Front Center Speaker Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

30. Connect the electrical connector.

31. Instrument Panel Extension (1) » Install

32. Connect the electrical connector.

33. Radio Front Speaker (2) » Install

34. Radio Front Speaker Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

35. Radio Front Speaker Grille (1) » Install

36. Windshield Garnish Molding Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

37. Align the retaining clips with the slots in the A pillar and press the windshield garnish molding  (1) into place.

38. Windshield Garnish Molding (1) » Install

39. Reposition the weatherstrip as necessary.

40. Connect the electrical connectors.

41. Instrument Panel Switch Trim Plate (2) » Install

42. Instrument Panel Switch Trim Plate Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

43. Connect the electrical connectors.

44. Instrument Panel Trim Pad (2) » Install

45. Instrument Panel Trim Pad Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

46. Instrument Panel Trim Plate Applique (1) » Install
