DTC B1A6C
Diagnostic Instructions Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle prior to using this diagnostic procedure. Review Strategy Based Diagnosis for an overview of the diagnostic approach. Diagnostic Procedure Instructions provides an overview of each diagnostic category. DTC Descriptor DTC B1A6C Universal Serial Bus (USB) Circuit For symptom byte information, refer to Symptom Byte List. Circuit/System Description The surround vision camera system has a X20 Card Reader Receptacle located in the luggage compartment. The X20 Card Reader Receptacle interfaces with the K157 Video Processing Module via a USB cable. The X20 Card Reader Receptacle also receives fused battery voltage and ground from the K157 Video Processing Module . The K157 Video Processing Module uses the memory card as a mass storage device, similar to a USB storage device. Conditions for Running the DTC Ignition voltage is between 9–16 V. Conditions for Setting the DTC The rearview camera video circuit is open, shorted to voltage, or shorted to ground. Action Taken When the DTC Sets The Video Processing Control Module requests the instrument cluster to display “Service Surround Vision Camera”. The Video Processing Control Module will disable the recording. Conditions for Clearing the DTC A current DTC clears when the malfunction is no longer present. A history DTC clears when the control module ignition cycle counter reaches the reset threshold of 100, without a repeat of the malfunction. Diagnostic Aids USB cables must be fully connected to function properly. Ensure USB cables are properly connected at all components.
