Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose Replacement - Left Side (Short Wheel Base) Removal Procedure

Warning

Refer to SIR Warning.

Caution

Use care when working around the head curtain inflator module. Sharp tools may puncture the curtain airbag. If the head curtain inflator module is damaged in any way, it must be replaced.

1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling

2. Move the front seat fully forward.
3. Use a flat bladed plastic tool between the center pillar center trim panel (1) and the center pillar upper trim panel to disengage the upper retaining clips (2).
4. Pull from both sides of the center pillar center trim panel (1) to release the middle and lower retaining clips (2).

6. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Remove
7. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (2) » Remove
8. Pull the center pillar upper trim panel (3) toward the inside of the vehicle to disengage the retaining clips.
9. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel (3) » Reposition

10. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
11. Rear Side Door Sill Garnish Molding (1) » Remove

12. Place the rear seat (1) in the fold and tumble position.

14. Rear Seat Belt Retractor Sleeve (1) » Reposition
15. Rear Seat Belt Anchor Plate Bolt (2) » Remove

16. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Remove
17. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Remove

18. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
19. Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel (1) » Reposition

20. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
21. Pull the body side rear window garnish molding (1) outwards enough to access the tether fastener.

22. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Remove
23. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Tether Retaining Clip (2) » Remove

24. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Remove

25. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

28. Cargo Tie Down Loop Bolt Cap (2) » Open
29. Cargo Tie Down Loop Bolt (3) » Remove
30. Cargo Tie Down Loop (4) » Remove

31. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
32. Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel (1) » Reposition

33. Place the coat hook (2) in the open position.
34. Coat Hook Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
35. Coat Hook (2) » Remove [2x]

36. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs on the rear seat position center reading and courtesy lamp (1).

37. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs on the cargo center courtesy lamp  (1).

38. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide Cover (1) » Open
39. Rear Seat Belt Guide Bolt (2) » Remove

40. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide (1) » Reposition
41. Using a suitable trim tool, gently pry and pull downwards on the rear seat belt opening bezel  (2) to release the retaining clip.

43. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs.
44. Rear Seat Center Belt Opening Bezel - 3rd Row Seat (1) » Remove
45. Feed the 3rd row seat center belt through the rear seat center belt opening bezel (1).

46. Lower the left rear section of the headlining trim panel (1).

48. Release the sunroof housing rear drain hose clip (1).

49. Reposition the insulator as needed.

50. Release the 4 sunroof housing rear drain hose clips (1).
51. Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose (2) @ Rear Wheelhouse Inner Panel » Disconnect

Observe the routing and location of the sunroof housing rear drain hose to ensure proper reinstallation.

52. Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose (2) » Remove Installation Procedure

53. Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose (2) » Install

54. Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose (2) @ Rear Wheelhouse Inner Panel » Connect

3. Secure the 4 sunroof housing rear drain hose clips (1).

4. Secure the sunroof housing rear drain hose clip (1).

5. Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose (1) @ Sunroof Housing Drain Gutter » Connect

6. Headlining Trim Panel (1) » Install

7. Feed the 3rd row seat center belt through the rear seat center belt opening bezel (1).

8. Rear Seat Center Belt Opening Bezel - 3rd Row Seat (1) » Install

9. Rear Seat Belt Opening Bezel (2) » Install

10. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide (1) » Install

Caution

Refer to Fastener Caution.

11. Rear Seat Belt Guide Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

12. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide Cover (1) » Close

13. Apply pressure upward on the cargo center courtesy lamp (1) to engage the retaining tabs.

14. Apply pressure upward on the rear seat position center reading and courtesy lamp (1) to engage the retaining tabs.

15. Coat Hook (2) » Install [2x]

16. Coat Hook Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

17. Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel (1) » Install

18. Cargo Tie Down Loop (4) » Install

19. Cargo Tie Down Loop Bolt (3) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

20. Cargo Tie Down Loop Bolt Cap (2) » Close

21. Convenience Net Retainer (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

22. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding (1) » Install

23. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

24. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Tether Retaining Clip (2) » Install

25. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

Note

Position the body side rear window garnish molding tether in the same position as before the molding removal.

26. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding (1) » Install

27. Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel (1) » Install

28. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

29. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Install

30. Rear Seat Belt Retractor Anchor Plate Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

31. Rear Seat Belt Retractor Sleeve (1) » Reposition

32. Liftgate Weatherstrip (1) » Reposition

33. Return the rear seat (1) to the original position.

34. Rear Side Door Sill Garnish Molding (1) » Install

35. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel (3) » Install

36. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

37. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Install

38. Align 6 retaining clips (2) with the upper and lower trim panels.

39. Center Pillar Center Trim Panel (1) » Install

40. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling

41. Water test and inspect sunroof for proper operation.
