Sunroof Housing Front Drain Hose Replacement - Right Side Removal Procedure

Warning

Refer to SIR Warning.

Caution

If a vehicle is equipped with a head curtain inflator module ensure that the inflator module and tether are undamaged. If tether or curtain airbag are damaged in any way, they must be replaced.

Caution

Use care when working around the head curtain inflator module. Sharp tools may puncture the curtain airbag. If the head curtain inflator module is damaged in any way, it must be replaced.

1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling

2. Unclip the sunshade and rotate the sunshade to the side.
3. Open the sunshade support bolt access cover with an appropriate tool.
4. Sunshade Support Bolt (1) » Remove

5. Reposition the weatherstrip as necessary.
6. Windshield Pillar Assist Handle Cover (1) » Remove [2x]
7. Windshield Pillar Assist Handle Bolt (2) » Remove [2x]
8. Windshield Garnish Molding - Right Side (3) » Remove

9. Fold the assist handle downward and hold. (2)
10. Use a small flat-bladed tool to open the assist handle covers to access the bolts.
11. Roof Rail Assist Handle Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
12. Roof Rail Assist Handle (2) » Remove

13. Sunshade Retainer Bolt Cover (1) » Remove
14. Sunshade Bolt (2) » Remove [3x]
15. Squeeze the tabs at the base of the sunshade (3) to detach it from the roof panel and allow the headliner with the sunshade attached to be lowered.

16. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
17. Radio Front Speaker Grille (1) » Remove

18. Radio Front Speaker Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
19. Radio Front Speaker (2) » Remove
20. Disconnect the electrical connector.

21. Move the front seat fully forward.
22. Use a flat bladed plastic tool between the center pillar center trim panel (1) and the center pillar upper trim panel to disengage the upper retaining clips (2).
23. Pull from both sides of the center pillar center trim panel (1) to release the middle and lower retaining clips (2).

25. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap - Right Side (1) » Remove
26. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt - Right Side  (2) » Remove
27. Pull the trim panel (3) toward the inside of the vehicle to disengage the retaining clips.
28. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel - Right Side (3) » Reposition

29. Lower the right front section of the headlining trim panel (1).

30. Release the sunroof housing front drain hose clip (1).
31. Sunroof Housing Front Drain Hose (2) @ Sunroof Housing Drain Gutter » Disconnect
32. Reposition the insulator as needed.
33. Sunroof Housing Front Drain Hose (2) @ Plenum Lower Panel » Disconnect

Note

Observe the routing and location of the sunroof housing front drain hose to ensure proper reinstallation.

34. Sunroof Housing Front Drain Hose (2) » Remove Installation Procedure

35. Sunroof Housing Front Drain Hose (2) » Install

36. Sunroof Housing Front Drain Hose (2) @ Plenum Lower Panel » Connect

37. Reposition the insulator as needed.

38. Sunroof Housing Front Drain Hose (2) @ Sunroof Housing Drain Gutter » Connect

39. Secure the sunroof housing front drain hose clip (1).

40. Headlining Trim Panel (1) » Install

7. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel - Right Side (3) » Install

Caution

Refer to Fastener Caution.

8. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt - Right Side  (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications
9. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap - Right Side (1) » Install

10. Align 6 retaining clips (2) with the upper and lower trim panels.

11. Center Pillar Center Trim Panel - Right Side (1) » Install

12. Connect the electrical connector.

13. Radio Front Speaker (2) » Install

14. Radio Front Speaker Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

15. Radio Front Speaker Grille (1) » Install

16. Sunshade Bolt (2) » Install and tighten [3x] — Fastener Specifications

17. Sunshade Retainer Bolt Cover (1) » Install

18. Roof Rail Assist Handle (2) » Install

19. Roof Rail Assist Handle Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

20. Windshield Garnish Molding - Right Side (3) » Install

21. Windshield Pillar Assist Handle Bolt (2) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

22. Windshield Pillar Assist Handle Cover (1) » Install [2x]

23. Reposition the weatherstrip as necessary.

24. Sunshade Support Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

25. Close the sunshade support bolt access cover.

26. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling

27. Water test and inspect sunroof for proper operation.
