Failure to perform this procedure may result in poor system performance, DTCs being set, or customer dissatisfaction. Perform this procedure when the following component has been serviced: A16 Transfer Case Four Wheel Drive Actuator K69 Transfer Case Control Module Transfer Case Assembly Conditions for Running the Procedure Park Brake = Applied Tires = Blocked Vehicle Speed = 0 km/h (0 MPH) Ignition = On Engine = Running or Not Running Transmission Range = Neutral Reference Information Scan Tool Reference Control Module References With Scan Tool

1. Ignition » On / Vehicle » In Service Mode
2. Select: Module Diagnostics
3. Select: Transfer Case Control Module
4. Select: Configuration/Reset Functions
5. Select: Range Actuator Learn
6. Follow the instructions on the scan tool. — The procedure will complete within 10 s Verify the scan tool parameter: Range Actuator Learn = Passed ⇒ If not the specified state Refer to: Step 1 ⇓ If the specified state
7. Operate the component: S126 Ride Control Switch» 2WD / 4WD/AWD Automatic / 4WD High/Locked

Note

For V-Series this does not apply. Upon completion of actuator learn, transfer case will be in 2HI, “2HI” icon will appear on cluster in blue/white. Perform Transfer Case Range in Output Controls to shift transfer case from 2HI into 4AUTO. During transfer case shift to 4AUTO, “AUTO” will flash on cluster, then turn off when shift is successfully completed. Under normal customer vehicle operation there will be no transfer case mode icon on the cluster. Verify operating the controls yields the expected results. ⇒ If the function is NOT executed as expected 7.1.
