Removal Procedure

1. Front Bumper Fascia (1) » Remove — Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation
2. Reposition the wiring harness.

Note

The front parking assist alarm sensor is a one piece design. Do NOT twist the sensor cap to try and remove the painted cap. Replacement sensor requires painting to match fascia/bumper body color.

3. Lift the locking tabs on the housing and remove the front parking assist alarm sensor (1).
4. Disconnect the electrical connector.

5. Using a flat bladed tool, carefully remove the front parking assist alarm sensor bracket (1) from the fascia.

Note

Do Not sand off alignment tabs / outline.

6. Sand sonic weld plastic residue (1) from the fascia. Installation Procedure

7. Clean the repair area (1)  with Fusor 703 cleaner or equivalent.

8. Apply structural adhesive epoxy, Lord Fusor™ 127EZ or equivalent, to fascia at mating surface (1)  according to manufacturer’s directions.

9. Using the alignment tabs/outline, install the front parking assist alarm sensor bracket (1) to the fascia.

10. Use care to avoid excess material squeeze out around front parking assist alarm sensor bracket (1).

11. Lightly clamp, tape or apply a weight to the front parking assist alarm sensor bracket (1) to hold it in place until adhesive cures.

12. Allow adhesive to cure according to manufacturer’s directions.

Note

Ensure the silicone decoupling ring is installed on the sensor to avoid sensor failure.

7. Insert the front parking assist alarm sensor (1) into the housing.

8. Connect the electrical connector.
