Removal Procedure

  1. Open the liftgate window.
  2. Use a small flat-bladed tool to remove the 2 panel locators (1).
  3. Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel Access Hole Cover(2) » Remove

  1. Use the appropriate trim tool to release the liftgate upper center trim finish panel (1) from the liftgate inner panel.
  2. Liftgate Upper Center Trim Finish Panel (1) » Remove

  1. Use a flat-bladed trim tool to aid in the removal of the liftgate upper side trim finish panels (1) from the liftgate.
  2. Liftgate Upper Side Trim Finish Panel (1) » Remove [2x]

  1. Use a flat-bladed trim tool to aid in the removal of the rear compartment lid inner panel trim hole plug (1).
  2. Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Remove
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  4. Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel (3) » Remove

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  2. Liftgate Side Sensor » Remove [2x]
  3. Rear Closure Center Applique Bolt (1) » Remove [6x]

  1. Disconnect all electrical connectors.
  2. Disconnect the washer hose, If equipped.
  3. Rear Closure Center Applique Nut (1) » Remove [10x]
  4. Release the retainers.
  5. Rear Closure Center Applique (2) » Remove

  1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  2. Disconnect the washer hose, if equipped.

  3. Release the retaining tab.

  4. Release the 3 wiring harness connector brackets (1).

  5. Rear License Plate Lamp Wiring Harness (2) » Remove Installation Procedure

  6. Rear License Plate Lamp Wiring Harness (2) » Install

  7. Secure the 3 wiring harness connector brackets (1).

  8. Secure the retaining tab.

  9. Connect the washer hose, if equipped.

  10. Connect the electrical connectors.

  11. Rear Closure Center Applique (2) » Install

  1. Rear Closure Center Applique Nut (1) » Install and tighten [10x] — Fastener Specifications

  2. Connect the washer hose, If equipped.

  3. Connect all electrical connectors.

  4. Rear Closure Center Applique Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [6x] — Fastener Specifications

  5. Liftgate Side Sensor » Install [2x]

  6. Connect the electrical connector.

  7. Connect the electrical connector.

  8. Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel (3) » Install

  9. Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

  10. Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Hole Plug(1) » Install

  11. Liftgate Upper Side Trim Finish Panel (1) » Install [2x]

  12. Liftgate Upper Center Trim Finish Panel (1) » Install

  13. Liftgate Lower Trim Finish Panel Access Hole Cover(2) » Install

  14. Liftgate Trim Finish Panel Locator(1) » Install [2x]

  15. Close the liftgate window.
