Front Seat Inboard Seat Back Airbag Replacement

Warning

Following the deployment of a side impact air bag, inspect the following parts for damage. Replace these parts if necessary: The seat cushion frame The seat recliner, if equipped The seat adjuster The seat back frame Failure to do so may cause future personal injury.

1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling

2. Front Seat Back Cover and Pad (1) » Remove — Front Seat Back Cover and Pad Removal and Installation

3. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) from the module electrical connector.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector.

5. Disconnect the wiring harness retainers.

6. Reposition the wiring harness.

7. Front Seat Inboard Seat Back Airbag Nut (1) » Remove [2x]

8. Front Seat Inboard Seat Back Airbag (2) » Remove Installation Procedure

9. Front Seat Inboard Seat Back Airbag (2) » Install

Caution

Refer to Fastener Caution.

2. Front Seat Inboard Seat Back Airbag Nut (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

3. Position the wiring harness.

4. Connect the wiring harness retainers.

5. Connect the electrical connector.

6. Install the connector position assurance (CPA) onto the module electrical connector.

7. Front Seat Back Cover and Pad (1) » Install — Front Seat Back Cover and Pad Removal and Installation

8. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling

9. Inflatable Restraint Module Handling and Scrapping
