Removal Procedure

Caution

If a vehicle is equipped with a head curtain inflator module ensure that the inflator module and tether are undamaged. If tether or curtain airbag are damaged in any way, they must be replaced.

Caution

Use care when working around the head curtain inflator module. Sharp tools may puncture the curtain airbag. If the head curtain inflator module is damaged in any way, it must be replaced.

1. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs on the cargo center courtesy lamp (1).

2. Place the rear coat hooks (2) in the open position.
3. Coat Hook Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
4. Coat Hook (2) » Remove [2x]

5. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

8. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

13. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

16. Rear Seat Belt Guide Bolt (2) » Remove [2x]

17. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide (1) » Reposition
18. Using a suitable trim tool, gently pry and pull downwards on the rear seat belt opening bezel  (2) to release the retaining clip on both sides of the vehicle.

20. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs.
21. Rear Seat Center Belt Opening Bezel - 3rd Row Seat (1) » Remove
22. Feed the 3rd row seat center belt through the rear seat center belt opening bezel (1).
23. Lower the rear headlining trim panel.

24. Disconnect the rear seat belt mini-latch (1).

27. Feed the 3rd row center seat belt through the rear seat center belt opening bezel and the openings in the upper roof structure. Installation Procedure

Note

Some components not shown for graphic clarity.

1. Feed the 3rd row center seat belt through the rear seat center belt opening bezel and the openings in the upper roof structure.
2. 3rd Row Center Seat Belt Retractor (2) » Install
3. If NEW threaded components are being installed, loosen the adhesive using a metal pick or similar tool before proceeding. If threaded components are reused, prepare the threaded components using the following steps: 3.1. Remove any loose cured adhesive from the external threads of the components using a lint free cloth. 3.2. Thread the cleaned components into the internal mating threads and remove to loosen trapped cured adhesive. 3.3. Apply thread locking adhesive to the external threads of the components. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers 3.4. Ensure there are no gaps in the thread locking adhesive once applied to the component.

4. 3rd Row Center Seat Belt Retractor Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

5. Connect the rear seat belt mini-latch (1).

6. Headlining Trim Panel » Install

7. Feed the 3rd row seat center belt through the rear seat center belt opening bezel (1).

8. Rear Seat Center Belt Opening Bezel - 3rd Row Seat (1) » Install

9. Rear Seat Belt Opening Bezel (2) » Install [2x]

10. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide (1) » Install [2x]

11. Rear Seat Belt Guide Bolt (2) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

12. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide Cover (1) » Close [2x]

13. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding (1) » Install

14. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

Note

Position the body side rear window garnish molding tether in the same position as before the molding removal.

15. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding (1) » Install

16. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding (1) » Install

17. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

Note

Position the body side rear window garnish molding tether in the same position as before the molding removal.

18. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding (1) » Install

19. Coat Hook (2) » Install [2x]

20. Coat Hook Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

21. Place the rear coat hooks (2) in the closed position.

22. Cargo Center Courtesy Lamp (1) » Install

23. Apply pressure upward on the cargo center courtesy lamp (1) to engage the retaining tabs.
