Antenna Coaxial Cable Replacement - Headlining (with DRZ) Removal Procedure

Warning

Refer to SIR Warning.

Caution

If a vehicle is equipped with a head curtain inflator module ensure that the inflator module and tether are undamaged. If tether or curtain airbag are damaged in any way, they must be replaced.

Caution

Use care when working around the head curtain inflator module. Sharp tools may puncture the curtain airbag. If the head curtain inflator module is damaged in any way, it must be replaced.

1. Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling

2. Unclip the sunshade and rotate the sunshade to the side.
3. Open the sunshade support bolt access cover with an appropriate tool.
4. Sunshade Support Bolt (1) » Remove

5. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
6. Roof Console Opening Trim Plate (1) » Remove
7. Roof Console Bolt (2) » Remove [2x]
8. Roof Console (3) » Remove
9. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

10. Insert a suitable flat-bladed plastic trim tool between the windshield multifunction sensor mount bracket cover insert (1) and windshield multifunction sensor mount bracket cover (2).
11. Separate the windshield multifunction sensor mount bracket cover insert (1) from the windshield multifunction sensor mount bracket cover (2).

12. Windshield Multifunction Sensor Mount Bracket Cover Insert (1) » Remove

13. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, carefully pry downward on the windshield multifunction sensor mount bracket cover (1) to release it from the windshield.
14. Pull downward to remove the windshield multifunction sensor mount bracket cover (1) from the windshield.

15. Reposition the weatherstrip as necessary.
16. Pull the windshield garnish molding (1)  rearwards to release the tether from the A pillar.
17. Access the windshield garnish bolt (2) which is located on the backside of the windshield garnish molding (1) and secures the tether to the A pillar.

20. Fold the assist handle downward and hold. (2)
21. Use a small flat-bladed tool to open the assist handle covers to access the bolts.
22. Roof Rail Assist Handle Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]

24. Sunshade Retainer Bolt Cover (1) » Remove
25. Sunshade Bolt (2) » Remove [3x]
26. Squeeze the tabs at the base of the sunshade (3) to detach it from the roof panel and allow the headliner with the sunshade attached to be lowered.

27. Move the front seat fully forward.
28. Use a flat bladed plastic tool between the center pillar center trim panel (1) and the center pillar upper trim panel to disengage the upper retaining clips (2).
29. Pull from both sides of the center pillar center trim panel (1) to release the middle and lower retaining clips (2).

31. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Remove
32. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (2) » Remove
33. Pull the center pillar upper trim panel (3) toward the inside of the vehicle to disengage the retaining clips.

36. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Remove

38. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
39. Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel (1) » Reposition

40. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.
41. Pull the body side rear window garnish molding (1) outwards enough to access the tether fastener.

45. Using a flat-bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips.

47. Place the coat hook (2) in the open position.

50. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs on the rear seat position center reading and courtesy lamp (1).

51. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs on the cargo center courtesy lamp  (1).

55. Using a suitable trim tool, gently pry and pull downwards on the rear seat belt opening bezel  (2) to release the retaining clip.
56. Rear Seat Belt Opening Bezel (2) » Remove

57. Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs.
58. Rear Seat Center Belt Opening Bezel - 3rd Row Seat (1) » Remove
59. Feed the 3rd row seat center belt through the rear seat center belt opening bezel (1).

60. Lower the side section of the headlining trim panel (1).
61. Lower the side section of the headlining rear trim panel , if equipped.

62. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
63. Release the retaining tabs.
64. Release the antenna coaxial cable (1) from the roof panel.

70. Secure the retaining tabs.

72. Install the antenna coaxial cable (1) to the roof panel.

73. Secure the retaining tabs.

74. Install the antenna coaxial cable (1) to the roof panel.

75. Connect the electrical connectors.

76. Install the headlining rear trim panel , if equipped.

77. Headlining Trim Panel (1) » Install

78. Feed the 3rd row seat center belt through the rear seat center belt opening bezel (1).

79. Rear Seat Center Belt Opening Bezel - 3rd Row Seat (1) » Install

80. Rear Seat Belt Opening Bezel (2) » Install

81. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide (1) » Install

Caution

Refer to Fastener Caution.

14. Rear Seat Belt Guide Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

15. 3rd Row Seat Belt Guide Cover (1) » Close

16. Apply pressure upward on the cargo center courtesy lamp (1) to engage the retaining tabs.

17. Apply pressure upward on the rear seat position center reading and courtesy lamp (1) to engage the retaining tabs.

18. Coat Hook (2) » Install [2x]

19. Coat Hook Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

20. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding (1) » Install

21. Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

22. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Tether Retaining Clip (2) » Install

23. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

Note

Position the body side rear window garnish molding tether in the same position as before the molding removal.

24. Body Side Rear Window Garnish Molding (1) » Install

25. Body Lock Pillar Upper Trim Panel (1) » Install

26. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

27. Quarter Window Trim Finish Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Install

28. Liftgate Weatherstrip (1) » Reposition

29. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel (3) » Install

30. Center Pillar Upper Garnish Molding Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

31. Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Bolt Cap (1) » Install

32. Align 6 retaining clips (2) with the upper and lower trim panels.

33. Center Pillar Center Trim Panel (1) » Install

34. Sunshade Bolt (2) » Install and tighten [3x] — Fastener Specifications

35. Sunshade Retainer Bolt Cover (1) » Install

36. Roof Rail Assist Handle (2) » Install

37. Roof Rail Assist Handle Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

38. Windshield Garnish Molding Bolt (2) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

39. Align the retainer clips with the slots in the A pillar and press the windshield garnish molding  (1) into place.

40. Windshield Garnish Molding - Left Side (1) » Install

41. Reposition the weatherstrip as necessary.

42. Install the windshield multifunction sensor mount bracket cover (1) ensuring the retaining tabs are fully seated.

43. Windshield Multifunction Sensor Mount Bracket Cover Insert (1) » Install

44. Apply pressure upward on the windshield multifunction sensor mount bracket cover insert (1)  to engage the retaining tabs.

45. Connect the electrical connectors.

46. Roof Console (3) » Install

47. Roof Console Bolt (2) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

48. Roof Console Opening Trim Plate (1) » Install

49. Sunshade Support Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

50. Close the sunshade support bolt access cover.

51. Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling
