  1. Lower the headlining trim panel (1) enough to gain access to the liftgate electrical connectors and washer hose.

  1. Disconnect the washer hose and electrical connector and retainers..
  2. Washer Hose Grommet (1) » Remove
  3. Liftgate Wiring Harness Grommet (2) » Remove

  1. Liftgate Weatherstrip (1) » Reposition

  1. Remove the 2 metal clips (1) at the ends of the liftgate strut (2).
  2. Liftgate Strut - Left Side (2) » Remove

  1. Release the 2 metal clips at each end of the liftgate strut.
  2. Liftgate Strut - Right Side (1) » Remove

  1. Liftgate Hinge Bolt (1) » Remove [4x]

  2. With the aid of an assistant, remove the liftgate. (2) Installation Procedure

  3. With the aid of an assistant, install the liftgate. (2)

  1. Liftgate Hinge Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [4x] — Fastener Specifications
  1. Liftgate Strut - Left Side (2) » Install
  2. Install the 2 metal clips (1)  to each end of the liftgate strut (2).

  1. Liftgate Strut - Right Side (1) » Install

  2. Install the 2 metal clips at each end of the liftgate strut.

  3. Connect the washer hose and electrical connector and retainers..

  4. Liftgate Wiring Harness Grommet (2) » Install

  5. Washer Hose Grommet (1) » Install

  6. Liftgate Weatherstrip (1) » Install
