Component Description
B36 Engine Oil Temperature Sensor The temperature sensor is a negative temperature coefficient thermistor, a resistor which changes based on temperature.
K20 Engine Control Module The control module converts the analog voltage signal input to a temperature value.

  1. Ignition » On / Vehicle » In Service Mode
  2. Verify no other DTCs are set. ⇒ If other DTCs are set Refer to: Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle ⇓ If no other DTCs are set
  3. Replace the component: B36 Engine Oil Temperature Sensor
  4. Verify the DTC does not set. ⇒ If the DTC is set Replace the component: K20 Engine Control Module ⇓ If the DTC is not set
