Single Use Fasteners and Components Rear Side Door Window Belt Reveal Molding

Warning

Refer to Glass and Sheet Metal Handling Warning. Removal Procedure

Warning

Disconnect the power window switch when working inside the door. When operated, the Express Up/Down Feature allows the door window to move very quickly, without stopping, which could cause personal injury.

1. Place the rear side door window regulator in the full down position.

3. Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Bolt (1) » Remove
4. Radio Rear Side Door Speaker (2) » Remove
5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Note

There is a retaining clip on the backside of the rear portion of the window garnish molding (1).

6. Use a flat-bladed plastic tool to release the lower alignment pins on the window garnish molding (1).
7. Use a flat-bladed plastic tool to disengage the retaining clip.

9. Rear Side Door Trim Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
10. Rear Side Door Pull Handle Bracket (2) » Remove

11. Route the rear side door inside handle cable through hole in the rear side door water deflector  (1).

13. Lift the rear side door window inner sealing strip (1) off the pinch-weld flange.

15. Reposition the rear side door weatherstrip to access the rear side door window belt reveal molding bolts (1).
16. Rear Side Door Window Belt Reveal Molding Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]

17. Using the appropriate tool, lift up the rear side door window belt reveal molding (1) to remove from the door flange.

19. Rear Side Door Window Channel Front Retainer Bolt (1) » Remove [2x]
20. Rear Side Door Window Channel Front Retainer » Reposition

Note

Use care when removing the rear side door window (1) not to scrape the glass against exposed metal edges inside the rear side door frame.

24. Pull and turn the rear side door window (1) up to remove the window from the door frame. Installation Procedure

25. Place the rear side door window (1) into the door frame.

26. Guide the rear side door window into the window regulator sash (1).

27. Secure rear side door window into the window regulator sash (1).

Caution

Refer to Fastener Caution.

5. Rear Side Door Window Channel Rear Retainer Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

6. Rear Side Door Window Channel Front Retainer » Install

7. Rear Side Door Window Channel Front Retainer Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

8. Rear Side Door Window Belt Reveal Molding (1) » Install NEW

9. Rear Side Door Window Belt Reveal Molding Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

10. Reposition the rear side door weatherstrip.

11. Press firmly to install the rear side door window inner sealing strip (1) onto the door flange.

12. Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip (1) » Install

Note

When reinstalling water deflector ensure integral locators are installed properly and that water deflector is secured and leakproof.

13. Route the rear side door inside handle cable through hole in deflector (1).

14. Rear Side Door Water Deflector (1) » Install

15. Rear Side Door Pull Handle Bracket (2) » Install

16. Rear Side Door Trim Bolt (1) » Install and tighten [2x] — Fastener Specifications

Note

Ensure that the door weatherstrip is not trapped below the window garnish molding (1) once completely installed. Reposition the weatherstrip as necessary.

17. Rear Side Door Window Garnish Molding (1) » Install

18. Connect the electrical connector.

19. Radio Rear Side Door Speaker (2) » Install

20. Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Bolt (1) » Install and tighten — Fastener Specifications

21. Rear Side Door Trim » Install — Rear Side Door Trim Removal and Installation
